Come On Let's Go Party!

Earlier this year we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Spice Girls breakout hit “Wannabe” and next May will do it all over again this time for Aqua!

The year was 1997…Princess Diana was still alive, Titanic hadn’t been released and Evander Holyfield  still had both of his ears. Seriously how has already almost been 20 years since the release of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl”??

The Danish quartet reunited in 2007 for the 10th anniversary of the song and are planning to tour all over Denmark to celebrate.

I’ll be 100% honest, I totally bought their first album on Boxing Day 1997 and for the most part, loved it! In the almost 20 years that’s passed lead singer Lene Nystrøm had a bit of solo career and she’s currently a judge on the danish version of The Voice!

Barbie Girl was an incredibly addicting song, whether you liked it or not you probably knew the words!

As much as we LOVED this song why does everyone forget about this classic (yes I’m serious)

So. Good!

Then there’s this one and it’s legit my favorite song on the album!

Ok, so I could go on and on about my love for Aqua but I’ll stop there!
