Nomination from J. Zhen:

Yu Qi is so driven and has so much love for people. From high school to university, she has worked endlessly. Beyond getting top of her class in academics, she is so involved in and out of school. She’s a visionary leader who inspires others. Although she is small in stature, she is confident and full of ideas. She loves to keep active and try out new things, which has encouraged me to do the same. She is starting the next chapter of her education in medicine and this scholarship will definitely be of benefit to this amazing person!

Nomination from E. Findlay:

A true friend brings out the best in others; Yu Qi is a friend to the entire community. She is a selfless leader: head of a running club to help people decompress and a mentor at a centre for people with disabilities. She is dedicated to her education (and excels in it with straight A’s!) because she wants to create a better community for everyone. Her determination has motivated me and countless others to be better and work harder. She is very humble, and she should know that she has already made a big difference for me and others.

Nomination from G. Paguio:

As a long time staff at St.Amant, a place for people with severe developmental disabilities, I have seen the positive impact that Yu Qi Wu makes with the clients and the other volunteers. Yu Qi has volunteered at St.Amant for 6 years! She epitomizes volunteerism and dedication. She is a true leader with a big heart. I know that her dream of becoming a doctor is becoming true, and this scholarship will be a big help for her in starting medical school.
