I’ve always thought one of the worst things about being a celebrity must be having the press speculate whether you have a belly bump or if those pants just make you look fat.

It was in November that the media started going nuts with the possible baby bump on Anne Hathaway.

And, don’t get me wrong, it definitely looks like a baby bump. But maybe it’s not. And maybe if she doesn’t want to talk about it being a baby bump yet there might be reasons for it.

Either way, it looks like now – two months later – the actress has decided to photo confirm that yes, she and her husband, 34-year-old Adam Shulman, are expecting their first child.

Her caption reads:

“Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends! So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure it this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :) Wish you love, light and blessings for the year ahead! Annie”

Good for her. Because as much as we’d love to think they wouldn’t find that one photo out of 100 that looks completely awful and run a story headlined, “Anne Hathaway Run Down & Haggard From Pregnancy”, some tabloid probably would. Because some tabloids are jerks.

It also means whatever paparazi was stalking her on the beach now has a bunch of worthless photos because we’ve already see it!
