The Pam Am Games are in Toronto this year, but on it’s way out east is making a visit to our city today.

Day 23 of the Pan Am Games Torch Relay starts with a celebration at Winnipeg City Hall. Then the flame will travel to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, The Forks, and the flames final destination of the day will be Pan Am Pool. Here’s the route map:

Winnipeg City Hall – 11:35 a.m. (151 Princess Street, Winnipeg)

  • Delfin Tan leaves city hall carrying the Pan Am flame and passes it to Deborah Muir, past coach of Canada’s synchronized swimming team

Canadian Museum for Human Rights – 12:05 a.m. (CT) (85 Israel Asper Way, Winnipeg)

  • Flame carried on a bicycle by 14 year old cyclist Rebecca Man

The Forks – (1 Forks Market Road, Winnipeg)

  • Flame arrives at 12:30 p.m. carried by Jon Montgomery, Olympic gold medallist in skeleton and host of the Amazing Race.

Pan Am Pool – 4 p.m. (CT) (25 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg)

  • Torchbearer Cameron MacDonald, Team Canada para-swimming athlete, will carry the flame.

 

The Pan Am Games Torch Relay lasts 41-days, with more than 3,000 torchbearers and travels to more than 130 communities.
