maroon 5 biggest fan

Christopher Warner, a 10-year-old Maroon 5 superfan who has Down Syndrome, didn’t exactly have the meet & greet he expected on Monday night. But, from our minds, it was even better!

He got the chance to meet his favourite band because of a wonderful teacher.

“He has just been fascinated with Maroon 5 and especially Adam Levine,” Avery Stanert, a special education teacher at Warner’s school, told TODAY.com. “He loves to listen to their music during work breaks. He draws pictures of them. He just absolutely loves them.”

She recorded him singing and dancing to his favourite Maroon 5 songs, posted it on YouTube on Feb. 23. and it went viral! It led to his local radio station contacting Maroon 5’s record label and setting up the once in a lifetime meeting.

“He was real excited,” said the mother of three. “We had dinner first and there was a group of people that went down to the meet and greet. They told us that we would be last because Adam wanted to talk with Christopher and spend a little more time with him.”

Already pretty wonderful. But, when the meeting actually happened, Christopher was so excited that he had to lay down on the floor with his mom.

“When he realized it was his turn, he was very shy at first. I kind of got down on the floor and he was hiding behind me. Then Adam said ‘that’s ok, we’ll all get down on the floor.’ It wasn’t beneath him to lay down on a locker room floor with Christopher.”

So, Adam Levine and the rest of Maroon 5 got right next to him so he’d feel comfortable and could get a pic with the band!
